Shannon and Jeremiah both have scars, ones that need heeling before they can move forward in a relationship. This is another sweet beach read about people who are successful in their careers but stuck in their social life. Once you take a leap you have to be open to someone else and the baggage they bring into a relationship, but sometimes you have to know yourself well enough first. I loved the use of the therapy dog in this book and thought it was a good if not great representation of how it all works. Sweet read, highly recommend it. It was a good clean romance story. No sex or swear words. I enjoyed the book. It held my interest. There were a few typos but it didn't distract from the story. I got a little irritated with Shannon with her feelings running hot and cold just because her "ex tried something" . Get a grip. That's called LIFE 101. You just say 'NO' and move on. Jeremiah was sweet and I really liked his character. He just had one 'jerk' moment with his thinking. I would recommend to all ages.
