I expected something along the same lines as the first book. I wish I'd waited and "looked inside" before pre-ordering this. The first several pages revolve around a discussion about the Christian god, rehashing the same old tired arguments people have been throwing back and forth since time began. 1) Nothing new here, 2) light romance shouldn't start with religion. This turned me off to the point where I stopped reading, but that's just me. You might love all the religious stuff in this book. Lesson learned: when Ms. Summers is cowriting with someone, never assume the story will be in the same wonderful vein as the previous books. I can see how one might wish for a miracle like Jen thought she was getting but this is about an extremely naive girl, living in New York, believing that God is granting wishes and communicating through text messages. While some parts of the book were funny, it's just a poor take on Christianity.
